Another Catch Up

Where I have been - it's been sooooo long since my last blog entry! Well, we've had the summer holidays which always curbs my crafting time of course - it flew by this year with daughter no 1 doing a bikeability course, two weeks in France (that was the best) and lots of days just spent playing out on bikes (the children that is!). Of course the allotment took some work, it's been reasonably successful apart from the caterpillar plague on the brassicas when we got back from holiday - still I've gotten a little less squeamish!

I did make a few things over the summer;

A 3D shoe from SVG Cuts  - this was part of a promotion, you applied for the file, then published a picture of the shoe and they sent you a $6.99 gift voucher. They're very a generous company. I also made the pumpkin carriage from this set, but I forgot to take any pictures before I gave it to my friend's daughter. I hope to take some next time I'm at her's!

This Owl was from that set - I think it will be a good christmas present for daughter no 2's Brown Owl at brownies!

A neighbours daughter broke her arm over the summer - you can't see, but the Ouch wobbles - it's a blatant rip off of Jin's card here.

There are a few other cards I've made, but I haven't been great at taking pictures lately. I promise to try harder.

Time goes by so fast...

... It's been ages again since I blogged - can't seem to make the time - haven't made a huge number of cards lately - the allotment I got last October is taking up a lot of time and it's been family birthday season, so have had more preparation of celebrations to do than usual.

Love is in the air...

Both and engagement card and a wedding card needed this week.

The wedding card was inspired by this post - yes I know, I basically copied it. No designs/svg's/cutting machine, although I did dust off my big shot to emaboss using a cuttlebug embossing folder. The 'sentiment' was created and printed from Craft Artist.

The Engagement card was based on a file from SVG Cuts set, I removed the thank you caption and added the glasses and congratulations instead. The paper was First Edition Paper Love Letters.

And a birthday card - the flower, base card and envelope were from a Lettering Delights set. The paper was First Edition Paper Sweet Owl. The First Edition 12x12 paper packs containg 48 sheets each (half glittered) I got from Dunelm for about £15. It's a lovely weight for doing 3D projects and for card bases.

Been a long time, as always

I always get to Feb and realise that I've not posted anything for ages - Christmas is sooo hetic, and the New Year so difficult to get to grips with.

Just after my last post I went on a Thyme Graphics weekend in Derby with the designers and main sellers of the Black Cat Cougar and Phoenix Silver Bullet. It was a good weekend and we made six projects in all. This photo was taken by Loopy at the weekend retreat and can be found on her website. It shows the items I made - an engraved acrylic notebook, a t-shirt decorated with some funky glittery vinyl, a clock decorated with vinyl, an embossed and dyed leather coaster and a card 'written' by my machine. The missing object was a set of 3 hanging frames. It was nice to see different uses for my machine and I came home with a couple of new accessories.

I've also made quite a few cards and 3d objects since my last post.
These were a freebie from SVG Cuts. I made quite a few of these for teacher presents.

This was made using a file from SVG Cuts and is a fairground ride for my daughters Silvanian Families!

This was made using Craft Artits and is a reply to an invitation to a family wedding.

I made this for a friends birthday - again from SVG Cuts.

I made this an SVG Cuts competition.

It seems like I've only made stuff from SVG Cuts, but I've made other stuff as well - stickers from Lettering Delight files, lots of cards using Craft Artist, photo frames for Brownie, boxes for presemts, another teapot, a teacup shaped Mother's day card for my MIL etc. These are the ones I've got photo's for though.

Mojo Monday has brought me to life!

It's been a while - sometimes I'm not so inspired as others. Mojo268 has helped this week - here's the sketch;

It's my sister-in-law's birthday on Friday and here's the card I made for her;

I didn't like the banner across the circles, so moved it down.

First of two Emily's

We have just been to a fortieth birthday celebration for an Emily, and have another fortieth celebration to go to in a month for another Emily!

Here's the card I made. I ended up designing my own flowers, because none of the numerous ones I had were quite right! The paper I printed at home was from DHD.
